The Inspiration

In Bear Minimum, the bear carries a sense of familiarity, echoing childhood objects and playful design, yet its block-like construction and metallic finish give it a sculptural, almost ironic weight. It sits somewhere between toy and object, soft memory and hard surface, blurring the line between sentiment and structure.

Colour plays a central role in the work’s energy. The bold green against the warm pink-red creates a striking contrast that feels both contemporary and slightly offbeat, reinforcing the idea that minimal compositions can still feel dynamic and alive.

Created with recycled and leftover household paint, the artwork embraces limitation as a guiding force.
