A NEW JOURNEY
In 2024, Ellena’s life changed dramatically when she was involved in a tragic bus accident as a passenger. She sustained multiple injuries, including two strokes, which resulted in noticeable cognitive challenges and led her to take a step back from her career in digital design. During her recovery, painting became a therapeutic outlet—initially a means of coping, but soon evolving into a powerful new chapter in her creative journey. Time spent in clinical environments led Ellena to seek inspiration in nature. It has become her refuge; a place rich in detail, colour, and complexity. This deepened appreciation for the natural world now informs her work. Ellena strives to create intricate, layered pieces that invite viewers to linger, and to look again.
Ellena now works part-time as a visual artist and freelance graphic designer, balancing her fine art practice with select design projects.
